Job Title: Full Stack Engineer

LotusFlare is a product company that specializes in developing cloud-native SaaS platforms. Our solution is adopted by leading telecom providers to modernize their product infrastructure. We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our Server Engineering team in Toronto, Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with product and other functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the highest level of quality.
  • Work closely with teammates to share knowledge, best practices, and experiences.
  • Take ownership of code and ensure it is reusable, maintainable, and well-documented.
  • Develop and interact with RESTful APIs, and have a strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably Vue.js.
  • 2+ years of experience in Typescript, Java, or any other OOP language.
  • Ability to develop and interact with RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with modern JavaScript (ES2015 and newer).
  • Knowledge and a good understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
  • Strong HTML5 and CSS3 skills.
  • Upper-intermediate-level of English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS, Redis, Kafka, and Cassandra.
  • Experience with JavaScript preprocessors like TypeScript and Flow.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Jasmin, Karma, Nightwatch.js, etc.
  • Hands-on experience using Docker.
