Edmonton Catholic Schools is seeking a qualified individual to lead our Nehiyaw Pimatisiwin Cree Language and Culture program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive language and culture program that meets the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a Cree language and culture curriculum that aligns with provincial standards
  • Provide instruction and support to students in the Cree language and culture program
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate Cree language and culture into the broader curriculum
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to support the program
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the program and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Education or a related field
  • Fluency in the Cree language
  • Experience in teaching and developing language and culture programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
