Job Title: Food Pantry Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Food Pantry Coordinator. This is a permanent full-time position, working 30-35 hours per week.

Head & Hands is a community organization dedicated to promoting the physical and mental well-being of youth. We strive to create a society where all youth are participants and are inspired by the endless possibilities available to them.

Job Summary

The Food Pantry Coordinator will be responsible for managing the emergency food program, including inventory management and replenishment. They will also work closely with the Frontline Services team to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk and other services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the emergency food program, including inventory management and replenishment
  • Work with the Frontline Services team to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk and other services
  • Maintain relationships with other community organizations and groups working towards addressing food insecurity in the neighborhood
  • Make adjustments based on community needs and budget allowance
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license
  • Bilingual in French & English (written and spoken)
  • A commitment and interest in food security and anti-poverty projects
  • Ability to manage a small budget and accounts with distribution
  • A commitment to harm reduction and social justice
Assets
  • Experience working in non-profit sector, community organizations, and/or within collective structures
  • Comfort/fluency in a third language
  • Experience working with youth or marginalized groups
