About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at DF Property Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the interior and exterior surfaces of our properties are properly prepared and finished.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, including repairing cracks and holes.
  • Paint Application: Mix paint to desired color and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate airless spray equipment, brush painting, conventional spray painting, electrostatic applications equipment, multi-ratio pump spraying, patterned rollers, roller painting, and thermal spray equipment.
  • Surface Finishing: Apply coatings and finishes to surfaces, including aggregate painting, sign painting, novelty and decorative effects, surface gilding, multi-color finishes, urethanes, and paint spraying.
  • Wood Finishing: Apply wood finishes, including graining, marbleizing, staining, and glazing.
  • Wall Covering: Apply wall coverings, including vinyl, fabrics/upholstery, wood veneers, foils, and photographic murals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and ability to work as a team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Operate various equipment and machinery, including airless spray equipment, brush painting, and thermal spray equipment.
