Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Real Estate Advisor to join our team at Employment and Social Development Canada. As a key member of our Real Estate Services team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on real estate matters, including financial and investment management strategies, complex socio-economic/financial research, and program evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial and investment management strategies for presentation to senior management.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on socio-economic and financial matters related to real estate and capital projects.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on real estate matters, including acquisitions, disposals, and leasing.
Requirements
  • Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in economics, sociology, or statistics.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in preparing analysis and recommendations for senior management or stakeholders.
Operational Requirements
  • Ability to travel occasionally within Canada or the Continental USA.

Asset Qualifications

  • Possession of a Canadian professional urban planning, finance, or accounting designation.
  • Experience reviewing policies, legislation, publications, or economic plans.
  • Experience negotiating real estate transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, or leases.
  • Experience providing real property services to Government of Canada departments.
