About the Role:

We're looking for a dynamic and organized individual who can consistently provide high-quality food production in a fast-paced environment. As a Cook 1, you'll be responsible for maintaining food quality and presentation standards, working effectively as part of a team, and ensuring all menu items are prepared efficiently to standard and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of interest in food and the culinary arts
  • Ensure food quality and presentation standards are consistently met
  • Develop excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Display attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ensure all menu items are prepared efficiently to standard and customer requirements
  • Ensure all mis en place is completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper storage of all food product
  • Ensure all appropriate provincial health regulations and food handling techniques are followed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Be aware of food cost, portion, and waste controls
Requirements:
  • Visible and demonstrated passion for the food and beverage, culinary, and hospitality industry
  • Charm and charisma with a helpful, positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and grow with us
  • Full availability and a flexible schedule for a mixture of both AM and PM shifts, including breakfast
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar position
  • Journeyman or working toward Red Seal certification
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities and a fast-paced environment
  • Requires standing/walking throughout shift
