Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and talented Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team at N15 Hair & Lash. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hair care and styling, with a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in hairstyling.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in the hairstyling industry or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

The role will be based in a vibrant barbershop or hairstyling salon, where creativity and professionalism are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client appointments efficiently.
  • Provide shampooing and conditioning services.
  • Oversee the work of junior stylists and support staff.
  • Utilize various techniques to apply color treatments, including bleach and dyes.
  • Execute hair cutting, trimming, curling, and styling services.
  • Advise clients on suitable hairstyles that complement their features and preferences.
  • Perform front desk duties, including client check-in and scheduling.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
Licenses and Certifications

Must hold a valid Hairstylist Licence.

Technical Skills
  • Proficient in blow drying and hair braiding.
  • Skilled in iron waving and curling techniques.
  • Experienced in performing hair permanents and extensions.
  • Knowledgeable in various hair coloring methods, including streaking and highlights.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks with manual dexterity.
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods while engaging with clients.
