About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Developer to join our Core team. As a key member of our team, you'll work on projects related to payments, checkouts, and our e-commerce engine. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Building, shipping, testing, deploying, and maintaining checkout iterations and implementing business logic for our e-commerce platform core
  • Developing scalable frontend and backend applications to support the growing needs of the business
  • Reviewing pull requests, mentoring, and advocating for high-quality code that makes future development faster, easier, and better
  • Scoping, planning projects, and working with other developers to implement them
  • Giving input on high-level architecture decisions and communicating those decisions
  • Solving performance issues within our checkout and payment systems
What We're Looking For

We're looking for a passionate software engineer who cares about their craft. You should have experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails, as well as JavaScript or JS frameworks. You should also have a good understanding of CSS frameworks and preprocessors. Additionally, you should be able to write tests and understand their value. If you have experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers, that's a plus.
