About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tire Technician to join our team at Winnipeg Flatbeds Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet's tires.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tire Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine tire checks, repairs, and replacements to ensure the integrity and safety of our fleet's tires.
  • Fluid Management: Add or replace hydraulic and transmission fluids as required to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
  • Assisting Mechanics: Provide support to our mechanics as needed, performing tasks such as oil, air, and fuel filter replacements.
  • Tire Installation and Balancing: Install replacement mufflers, exhaust pipes, shock absorbers, and radiators, and balance tires to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a variety of weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Will train
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, judgement, reliability, and a strong work ethic
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Steel-toed safety boots are required for this role.
