Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Register Operations: Efficiently manage the cash register and handle various payment methods including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
  • Product Management: Scan items accurately and tabulate total payments for goods or services.
  • Store Maintenance: Stock shelves and maintain cleanliness in the counter area to create an inviting environment.
  • Age Verification: Ensure compliance by verifying customer age for restricted items.
  • Security Monitoring: Oversee store entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and to work effectively under pressure. You will engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, along with occasional bending and crouching.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is an asset, ideally ranging from 1 to less than 7 months.
