About the Role:

The Physiotherapist I (PT) will work within a large interdisciplinary team at the East Calgary Family Care Clinic, providing comprehensive primary care to individuals with complex needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a primary care setting, providing services to a diverse and complex client group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide diagnoses, treatments, and care planning for clients with physical or functional mobility deficits.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to determine, implement, and evaluate appropriate rehabilitation strategies.
  • Participate in interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich supports, and engage in quality improvement.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and professional community, participating in peer mentoring and supervising students.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program.
  • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience.
  • 2 years clinical experience in providing care to individuals and their families in a community/outpatient setting.
  • Experience with complex chronic disease clients in a community setting.
  • AADL Authorizer an asset.
  • Pelvic floor physio experiences an asset.
  • Dry Needling/IMS certificate an asset.
