Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Horizon Diesel Truck & Trailer Services Ltd. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect diesel engines and equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust and repair or replace defective parts to ensure proper functioning
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work to prevent equipment failure
  • Service attachments and working tools to ensure optimal performance
  • Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure compliance with regulations
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week
  • Fluency in English
