Position Overview

Bison Concrete & Construction Limited is seeking a dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our skilled workforce. This role involves working with concrete to ensure high-quality finishes and structural integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Fill hollows and eliminate imperfections on freshly poured concrete.
  • Compaction: Utilize power vibrators to effectively compact concrete.
  • Leveling: Ensure the top surface of concrete is leveled according to specified grades and depths.
  • Safety Practices: Work safely at heights, utilizing scaffolding or swing stages as necessary.
  • Training: Provide instruction and guidance to apprentices in the field.
  • Installation: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and various fixtures.
  • Curing: Apply hardening and sealing agents to enhance surface durability.
  • Restoration: Waterproof, damp proof, and restore concrete surfaces as needed.
  • Repairs: Repair, resurface, and replace damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate materials and costs for projects.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years and up to 3 years of relevant experience in concrete finishing.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Full-time, ranging from 35 to 40 hours per week.
