About the Opportunity

Clinical Faculty Position, Medical Genetics

Dalhousie University & IWK Health

The Division of Medical Genetics, in the Department of Pediatrics at Dalhousie University and IWK Health, invites applications for a full-time academic position as a Metabolic Geneticist at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical service to patients with inborn errors of metabolism
  • Participate in teaching and/or research in an academic environment
  • Collaborate with the metabolic team and other departments to deliver comprehensive genetic consultation and care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of genetic services and programs
Requirements
  • MD (or equivalent) from an accredited university
  • Certification in Medical Genetics (FRCPC, FCCMG) or equivalent
  • Substantial work experience in Metabolics or certification in another specialty with a CCMG Biochemical Genetics Fellowship or equivalent
  • Eligibility for licensure in Nova Scotia
