Job Summary
Windsor Salt Ltd. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment at our Ojibway Mine location. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an underground setting, and experience supervising unionized skilled trades employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of skilled trades employees to ensure timely and effective maintenance of equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with OHSA regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Train and develop employees to improve their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an underground setting.
- Experience supervising unionized skilled trades employees.
- Industrial Mechanic (433A) or Diesel Mechanic (310T) trade certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and blueprints.
Working Conditions
- This role operates partially in a professional office environment and requires regular field work.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
