Clinical Coordinator RN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Clinical Coordinator in our Cardiac Clinics at Royal Columbian Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide nursing leadership and clinical coordination to ensure the delivery of exceptional cardiac health services to our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing leadership and coordination to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical decision-making tools and protocols to support patient care.
- Role model theory-based practice and facilitate team building to support the needs of patients and staff.
- Develop and implement education programs to meet the learning needs of direct care services staff.
- Monitor and manage staff scheduling, including overtime, vacations, and leave requests.
- Participate in the development of learning objectives and provide clinical support and guidance to patients and staff.
- Provide input and recommendations to the Manager on budget and resource development.
- Participate in the investigation of complaints and implement corrective action as needed.
- Identify own learning needs and engage in professional development activities.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in research and quality improvement activities.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a strong background in clinical practice and education. The ideal candidate will have:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Three years' recent related clinical experience in a designated clinical area, including one year of experience in an education/leadership role.
- Recognized post-basic clinical training and/or management courses.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a continuously changing environment.
- Ability to supervise staff effectively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a patient and family-centred model of care.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others in an interdisciplinary team setting.
