About the Role

The Patient Relations Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring that the patient and family experience is aligned with the Hospital's Mission of Putting Patients First in Everything We Do. This position requires a high level of flexibility and priority of time management in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with healthcare teams and leadership to provide support, guidance, and direction to build capacity and leadership for concerns to be managed at the local level.
  • Support patients, families, staff, physicians, and volunteers in the compliment and concern process.
  • Collaborate, consult, and partner with Patient Safety and Risk Management Specialists and Quality Improvement Specialists as required.
  • Provide support for hospital initiatives focused on the patient and family experience, quality, safety, and risk.

Requirements

  • Regulated Health Professional with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience preferred.
  • Member of a Regulated College in Ontario.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Experience in a Patient and Family Relations Role preferred.
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
