About the Role

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical or Electrical Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and efficient designs for residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our architectural team to understand customer needs and preferences
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and other documents to ensure compliance with building codes and design specifications
  • Conduct code analysis, perform calculations, and create specifications and detailed drawings
  • Manage project files and distribute information to stakeholders
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve design accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide technical assistance to sales, procurement, factory, service, and other departments as required

Requirements

  • Strong background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or a relevant field
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as energy efficiency in residential construction
  • Knowledge of building, plumbing, energy, and electrical codes and standards
  • Experience with estimating and quantity take-offs
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other graphic and design software
