Key Responsibilities:
  • Grow sales and profit margins through analyzing individual customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Prospect and onboard new customer accounts, ensuring a seamless and efficient onboarding process.
  • Conduct sales presentations, showcasing our products and services, and educating customers on our promotions and programs.
  • Execute on sales strategy and territory management, planning a sales approach customized with individual customers.
  • Perform routine inspections of customers' product sections and displays, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Establish a personal relationship with customers, understanding their needs and requirements, and providing solutions to meet their expectations.
  • Review weekly/monthly reports with store managers, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Minimize accounts receivable problems by monitoring accounts for compliance with credit terms and following up on any issues.
  • Maintain awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory, ensuring competitive pricing and maximizing sales.
  • Communicate changes in product lines or market trends to our company, ensuring we stay ahead of the competition.
  • Assist with processing merchandise returns, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Requirements:
  • Proven success in closing sales for various product lines.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Proven sales ledger travel and effective time management experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to conduct professional and results-driven customer presentations.
  • Solutions-minded, with the ability to analyze and critically evaluate situations.
  • Ability to learn computer programs, systems, and new technology solutions as they relate to the position.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Energetic and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • General knowledge of food safety standards, including basic HACCP practice and cold-chain integrity, transporting of perishable foods, and maintaining Serv-Safe certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with food service, wholesale, or convenience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with CRM platforms – Sales Force, SAP, Power BI.
  • 2-4 years of selling with retail convenience and/or foodservice products and programs experience.
