Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Berthiaume Service Centre. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of commercial transport truck systems and automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems and automotive systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
Requirements:
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Tire, wheel and rim mechanic
  • Automotive Service Technician (Fuel and Electrical Systems) Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician (Steering, Suspension and Brakes) Trade Certification
  • Motor Vehicle Repairer (Service Station Mechanic) Trade Certification
  • Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C)
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, and excellent oral and written communication skills. You will be working with a team and will be required to be punctual and reliable.
