Job Overview:
Location: Charlotte, NC
The On-Site Gas Production Technician is tasked with ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of oxygen and nitrogen production facilities. This role demands strong technical skills in the primary product line, along with expertise in instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems. The technician is expected to take initiative in resolving issues and must be self-motivated. Availability for on-call duties is essential, with occasional overnight travel for training and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold all safety, quality, and compliance standards at each facility. Conduct routine maintenance and calibrations on various process equipment, including compressors, gas analyzers, and control systems. Manage time effectively to complete operational and maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and diagnosing plant issues. Coordinate with contractors and internal resources to support plant activities and audits. Strive to maintain or enhance plant efficiency. Occasionally assist in the training and development of new team members.Skills and Qualifications:
Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures. Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnostics. Experience in maintenance and repairs of industrial equipment. Understanding of process control and schematic interpretation. Competence in using Microsoft applications and process control systems. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Organizational and time management skills. Ability to engage in self-directed learning and project management.Working Conditions:
The role requires the ability to perform various physical activities, including:
Driving a service vehicle for extended periods. Engaging in office work and administrative tasks. Walking on various surfaces and performing tasks at different elevations. Lifting and handling loads of varying weights. Utilizing hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.Qualifications:
