Job Overview

The Environmental Services (EVS) Worker is responsible for the thorough cleaning and upkeep of designated areas to ensure satisfaction for customers, clients, and patients. The specific duties and responsibilities may differ based on the location and client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Complies with established protocols to maintain a safe work environment, adhering to OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations.
  2. Conducts cleaning and sanitization of patient or resident rooms, which may involve vacuuming, dusting at various heights, making and stripping beds, and disposing of general and hazardous waste. Cleans restrooms following appropriate infection control protocols.
  3. Properly maintains and cleans all housekeeping equipment.
  4. Ensures that assigned areas are cleaned to meet Aramark and client standards.
  5. Follows guidelines for the storage and disposal of waste, transporting it to designated areas.
  6. Reports maintenance issues through work order requests to the relevant personnel.
  7. Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive demeanor in customer service interactions with clients, patients, and colleagues, adapting to their needs.
  8. Secures the facility, ensuring that the building is locked or unlocked as necessary.
  9. Safeguards company assets.
  10. Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

  1. Prior experience in custodial services is preferred.
  2. Ability to adhere to basic safety protocols and procedures.
This position may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
