Adecco Canada is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician for a temporary role in Lloydminster, SK.

This position requires you to efficiently perform routine tasks, manage detailed reporting, and ensure the smooth operation of lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality control testing on process samples and finished products, including oil, water, and gas samples.
  • Perform sample analysis using various types of lab instrumentation such as IC, ICP, GC, Distillation Apparatus (Atmospheric and Vacuum), KF titrators, and hand titrators.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, including managing laboratory supplies, cleaning equipment, and overseeing sample management and waste disposal.
  • Troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and calibrate lab instrumentation as needed.
  • Capture and report data efficiently and accurately.
  • Follow and adhere to all established laboratory procedures and HS&E requirements.
Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Minimum of a 2-year diploma in Chemical Technology.
  • Certification or eligibility for certification with ACPA or ASET.
  • At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience, specifically in the petroleum industry.
  • Proficient in wet chemistry, petroleum, and water laboratory techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of computerized equipment such as ICP, IC, and Gas Chromatography.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for analytical instrumentation.
  • Knowledgeable in QA/QC protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
