Job Summary:

Canfor is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and Diagnose Equipment Issues: Utilize your technical expertise to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless operations.
  • Repair or Replace Faulty Parts: Perform skilled repairs and replacements of equipment components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Proficient in Welding: Demonstrate expertise in welding techniques, ensuring high-quality repairs and maintaining equipment integrity.
  • Test Repaired Equipment: Conduct thorough testing to verify equipment functionality and quality, guaranteeing safe and efficient operation.
  • Maintenance and Service: Perform routine maintenance tasks, service heavy trucks, and maintain and repair working tools, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
Requirements:
  • Education: No formal degree required, but relevant training or certification is an asset.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Language: English proficiency required.
  • Weekly Hours: 32 hours per week.
