We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Programmer (Physics) to join our team at Arkane Studios. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our physics systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance physics systems using C++
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and design code
  • Develop and maintain the physics system, ensuring stability, quality, and variety of game physics elements
  • Estimate schedules and deliver high-quality work products to meet those schedules
  • Provide technical expertise to develop cutting-edge technologies, including architecture, design, prototype, implement, test, debug, document, profile, maintain, and support
  • Review code from other team members

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a Physics Programmer with at least 2 years of Havok experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent analytic and mathematical skills
  • Strong C++ design and coding experience
  • Experience building multithreaded, real-time systems
  • Experience writing systems balancing performance and maintainability
  • Experience profiling and optimizing CPU and GPU utilization
  • Passion for making great games

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with other Havok products
  • Experience with other physics engines
  • Development experience on game consoles (Xbox One/PS4)
