Job Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team as a Water Infrastructure Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on water, sanitary, and stormwater utilities and earthworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and construction of stormwater drainage, water transmission, sanitary sewer collection, and grading projects in both brownfield and greenfield settings.
  • Application of government and industry design, standards, specifications, regulations, and guidelines for water, sanitary, and stormwater infrastructure design and construction.
  • Collaboration with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, Microsoft Office Suite, and VisiSpecs.
  • Experience with water management software such as PCSWMM, MIKE, HEC-RAS, or Infoworks is considered an asset.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer with APEGA within six months of hire.
  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience with an emphasis on water, sanitary, and stormwater utilities and earthworks.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Alberta.
