Senior Change Management Consultant

  • Compensation range: C$640 - $650/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with organizations to offer expert guidance, consultative support, and coaching to enhance understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Assist leaders and teams in improving their abilities to comprehend the effects of change on individuals, the reasons behind resistance to change, and strategies to support individuals during transitions.
  • Actively coach and mentor leaders, partners, and stakeholders, empowering them to become effective change advocates.
  • Work in partnership with essential roles such as project managers, business analysts, process improvement specialists, and change consultants to integrate change management practices throughout the organization.
  • Design and execute change management strategies, plans, and frameworks.
  • Lead the development and implementation of communication strategies, stakeholder assessments, training initiatives, and resistance management throughout project lifecycles.
  • Oversee stakeholder management, including the identification and analysis of key stakeholders and the formulation of engagement strategies.
  • Align change management activities with stakeholders to eliminate barriers, facilitate adoption, and contribute to problem-solving for successful implementation.
  • Ensure active engagement and consultation with clients, partners, and stakeholders throughout the change process.
  • Clearly articulate the rationale for change in a way that resonates with affected stakeholders, providing a compelling vision of the new organizational landscape.
  • Foster consensus among clients, partners, and stakeholders regarding specific changes aimed at better meeting their needs.
  • Identify potential risks related to people and anticipated resistance points, developing strategies to mitigate or address these concerns.
  • Conduct change readiness assessments, evaluate outcomes, and present findings to stakeholders to inform the change management strategy.
  • Implement measurement systems to monitor the adoption, utilization, and proficiency of changes.
  • Develop approaches to institutionalize change, ensuring sustainability of benefits achieved through knowledge transfer, performance management, and continuous improvement practices.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of change management industry standards, best practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience in crafting training, communication, and change management strategies and plans.
  • Adept at engaging effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management and project leaders.
  • Strong conflict resolution, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Familiarity with project management fundamentals and an understanding of project lifecycles.
  • Excellent active listening capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional presentation and group facilitation abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in assessing change impacts on business processes and technology solutions to enhance adoption.
  • Proven track record in leading medium to large-scale transformational change initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with project leads to apply structured change management methodologies for people-side changes across initiatives.
  • Ability to identify key stakeholders and understand their impact from change initiatives.
  • Experience in developing actionable change management plans encompassing communications, coaching, training, and resistance management activities.
  • Ability to define and measure success metrics, monitoring change progress to track adoption and proficiency.
  • Experience managing change management processes and applying best practices to support projects or initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating with other subject matter experts, including communication and training specialists, during implementation.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels towards a unified goal.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Change Management.
  • Experience in relationship management.
  • Strong communication and consultation skills.
