About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at DBA Taco Del Mar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and portion food items for service, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
    • Operate kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, ovens, and refrigerators, to ensure efficient food preparation and storage.
    • Sanitize and clean kitchen areas, including work surfaces, utensils, and equipment, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Inventory Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store food and supply deliveries in a timely and organized manner.
    • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, reporting any discrepancies or concerns to management.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
    • Communicate effectively with management and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related environment.
  • Skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 35 to 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a dynamic kitchen environment, lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for long periods.
