Job Summary:

As a Gas Fitter Apprentice - Climate Control Specialist, you will assist journeyman gasfitters with the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of heating equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial establishments. You will also be responsible for testing and replacing defective heating equipment, working alone with direction from a journeyman gasfitter, and advising clients on safety features and maintenance of LP/NG heating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist journeyman gasfitters with installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of heating equipment
  • Test and replace defective heating equipment
  • Work alone with direction from a journeyman gasfitter
  • Advise clients on safety features and maintenance of LP/NG heating equipment

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Gas Fitter apprenticeship program (asset)
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair heating equipment
  • Experience with temporary construction heaters (asset)
  • Knowledge of designing and installing temporary heating systems (asset)
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with abstract in good standing
