As a Culinary Assistant at Dr. Shawarma and Curries House, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks that ensure our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Assist in washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits to prepare for cooking.
- Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
- Storage Management: Receive, unpack, and organize supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards.
- Waste Management: Responsible for removing kitchen garbage and ensuring a tidy workspace.
- Packaging: Package take-out orders and portion food as required.
- Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish kitchen floors to uphold hygiene standards.
This position is set in a fast-paced kitchen environment where you will engage in repetitive tasks and work under pressure.
Qualifications- Education: No formal degree or certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred but not mandatory (1 to less than 7 months).
