Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Architect, design, develop, update, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards to meet business requirements.
  2. Data Storytelling: Utilize effectively the navigation features in Power BI to guide users through a compelling data-driven story.
  3. Data Modeling: Design, publish, and maintain Power BI data models with multiple interrelated tables that support both visualization and analysis in Excel features.
  4. Solution Documentation: Document solutions and work with analysts to flesh out details of user stories.
  5. Calculation Development: Develop calculations in DAX.
  6. Requirements Gathering: Work with analysts and product managers to discuss internal customers' and stakeholders' requirements for their analytical problems.
  7. Data Integration: Integrate existing data sources with Power BI – including but not limited to Snowflake, Azure, SQL Server.
  8. Data Processing: Efficiently handle large sets of data and confidently process them into required formats.
  9. Security Implementation: Implement row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
  10. Design Methodology: Responsible for design methodology and product documentation.
  11. Model Development: Develop tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 4+ years of industry experience.
  2. Power BI Experience: 5+ years' experience in designing solutions with Power BI.
  3. Capacity Planning: In-depth knowledge and experience in capacity planning and optimizing Power BI premium workloads.
  4. Microsoft BI Stack: Advanced knowledge in the Microsoft BI stack.
  5. Data Analysis: Strong data analysis skills and strong SQL, DAX ability required; scripting languages such as R and Python are a plus.
  6. Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms.
  7. Data Structures: Experience developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes, OLAP technologies, data modeling, SQL.
  8. Communication: Proficiency to draw insights from data and clearly communicate (verbal/written) information to stakeholders and senior management as required.
  9. Business Intelligence Tools: Experience configuring and using Tableau or other business intelligence (BI) applications to effectively visualize and demonstrate proposed user interface dashboard and scorecard solutions.
  10. ETL Design: Strong knowledge of ETL design and development using Integration Services (SSIS).
