Construction Equipment Technician

At AIM Delsan, we are seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Equipment Diagnostics: Diagnose and troubleshoot common mechanical failures in our construction equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Technical Documentation: Interpret technical drawings and repair manuals to resolve faults, and request technical support when needed.
- Spare Parts Management: Identify and order spare parts using catalogs, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing downtime.
- Work Environment: Maintain a clean, orderly, and secure work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform basic welding tasks to repair and maintain equipment.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other related tasks as required by operational needs.
- Education: Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in construction machinery mechanics or equivalent training, with expertise in electricity, hydraulics, diesel engines, transmissions, and welding.
- Experience: Minimum of three years' experience as a construction mechanic, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Driver's License: Valid class 5 driver's license (mandatory).
- Toolbox: Possession of a complete toolbox, including imperial and metric systems.
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and demonstrate versatility, rigor, and attention to detail.
- Initiative and Autonomy: Sense of initiative and autonomy in task management, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge and Adaptability: In-depth knowledge of mechanics and new technologies, with the ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.
- Group Insurance: Group insurance after 3 months of seniority.
- RRSP Plan: RRSP plan with employer participation after 3 months of seniority.
- Personal Leave: Four paid days per year for personal or sick leave.
