We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Assistant to join our team at Pacific Academy. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing support to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students within the regular classroom and Learning Support Centre
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Support Plans under the direction of the Learning Support Coordinator
  • Collaborate with a team of Education Assistants to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Utilize non-violent crisis intervention strategies to support students during emotional outbursts
Requirements:
  • Education Assistant certificate
  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and Behaviour Disorders (an asset)
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Understanding of and commitment to Christian Education
  • Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
  • Fluent in oral and written English
