Job Summary:

The Senior Stress Analysis Manager will lead the technical activities and resources of the stress analysis engineering group supporting a variety of military aircraft fleets. This role will provide supervision, leadership, and technical guidance to engineering staff, conduct analysis of aircraft structural modifications, and ensure all strength requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineering staff.
  • Conduct structural analysis of aircraft modifications and ensure compliance with strength requirements.
  • Develop and implement project management practices to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion of technical tasks.
  • Lead the development of technical tools and resources to support the program.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, and studies.
  • Liaise with external customers and other departments within IMP Group.
  • Represent IMP Group at technical meetings and conferences.
  • Participate in staff recruitment, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor workload and assign manpower as required.
  • Prepare cost estimates and statements of work.
  • Evaluate and propose new business development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer status or eligibility is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering environment, primarily dealing with aircraft.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in conducting classical structural analysis of metallic and composite structures.
  • Knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance analysis procedures.
  • Significant experience conducting finite element analysis using NASTRAN, PATRAN, CATIA, or similar software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and delegation skills.
  • Working knowledge of project management techniques.
