Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Veterinary Support Specialist to join our team at Eastern Passage Village Veterinary Clinic. As a key member of our hospital staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments, ensuring the highest level of care and attention to detail.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and putting pets and their owners at ease.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, veterinarians, and other hospital staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest veterinary services, medical office procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, adapting to changing circumstances with ease.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as part of a dynamic and supportive team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Office Assistant program certificate an asset.
