Intermediate Software Developer in Test Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Software Developer in Test Specialist to join our team at T-Net British Columbia. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions for our web applications and API services.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Automate Test Cases: Define and automate test cases to verify product requirements, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
- Develop Automated Frameworks and Tests: Write code to support the development of automated frameworks and tests, improving test coverage and efficiency.
- Contribute to Architecture and Design: Participate in decisions regarding the architecture and design of test frameworks, ensuring they meet the needs of our complex software systems.
- Support Release and Testing Efforts: Collaborate with the team to execute tests, identify issues, and resolve them in support of our release cycles.
- Maintain Test Infrastructure and Tools: Ensure the test infrastructure and tools are up-to-date, efficient, and effective in supporting our testing needs.
- Participate in Team Planning and Story Grooming: Contribute to team planning and story grooming activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
- Conduct Code and Test Reviews: Conduct code and test reviews to improve the quality of our automation code and test coverage.
- Document Automation Frameworks and Tools: Document our automation frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to ensure knowledge sharing and reuse.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 3 Years of Automation Development Experience: Proven experience in automation development, with a strong understanding of software testing principles and practices.
- Strong Understanding of Java and JavaScript: Proficiency in Java and JavaScript, with experience in testing frameworks such as Selenium, Webdriver IO, JUnit, Mocha, or MSTest.
- Experience with Testing Practices in Agile Environments: Experience working in agile environments, with a strong understanding of testing practices and methodologies.
- Experience with Testing Frameworks and Tools: Experience with testing frameworks and tools, including Selenium, Webdriver IO, JUnit, Mocha, or MSTest.
- Desirable Skills: Experience with testing backend systems or APIs, performance testing with JMeter or similar tools, familiarity with.NET core, Python, web services technology, big data technology, or continuous integration systems.
