Job Title: Personal Support Worker

Are you passionate about delivering quality healthcare and making a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our team at CarePartners, where you will have the opportunity to work with patients in home and community care settings.

Job Summary:

As a Personal Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, promoting independence, and providing cognitive, social, and emotional support. You will work under the supervision of our Personal Support Manager and be part of a dynamic healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as personal care, household tasks, respite care, and medication assistance.
  • Promote a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety.
  • Provide cognitive, social, and emotional support to patients.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan.
Requirements:
  • A strong desire to make a difference in the lives of patients.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours, including early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends.
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle.
  • Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program.
  • Current vulnerable sector check screening and a clear background check.
