Position Overview: Alberta Innovates is on the lookout for a Head of Field Medical Operations to harness contemporary medical practices and technologies, transforming how our organization and its subsidiaries perceive, manage, and utilize data for reporting and intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead governance initiatives, drive organizational transformation, and oversee the deployment of medical technology platforms and the delivery of medical products.
- Develop and communicate strategic plans for medical and analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and priorities.
- Implement and manage medical management technologies, emphasizing data integrity, security, and accessibility.
- Foster a culture centered around data-driven decision-making by promoting awareness and adoption of medical analytics capabilities.
- Provide leadership to the medical data organization, overseeing governance, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance medical practices and achieve measurable business outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree from a recognized institution in a relevant field such as Medical Science, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of experience in progressively responsible roles within medical management, analytics, corporate reporting, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles, demonstrating expertise in areas such as medical analysis, business intelligence, or data governance.
- A proven track record of successfully leading and developing technical teams, managing complex projects, and delivering impactful outcomes.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to translate business needs into medical strategies and initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Strategic planning and execution capabilities, including creating roadmaps for enhancing medical processes and platform operations.
Additional Skills:
- Relevant certifications in data management or medical analytics.
- A blend of experience in both private and public sectors is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar.
