We are seeking a Graphics Programming Specialist—a rendering engineer with extensive applied research experience in rendering technologies—to contribute to the evolution of real-time graphics and deliver exceptional experiences for our players.
You will excel in devising innovative solutions to intricate real-time rendering challenges, balancing quality and performance. Your familiarity with key research areas in real-time graphics will be crucial in creating stunning game worlds and lifelike digital characters. Your contributions may include speaking engagements at industry conferences or published works in relevant journals.
This role offers a flexible hybrid work environment, allowing for remote work while collaborating with our rendering research team.
As a Graphics Programming Specialist at SEED, your responsibilities will include:
- Generating and implementing innovative solutions to tackle complex video game rendering challenges, setting EA apart.
- Investigating cutting-edge rendering technologies and their applications within game development.
- Creating demonstrations that highlight novel rendering techniques.
- Facilitating the complete delivery of innovative rendering technologies, collaborating with game teams and central technology groups.
- Working alongside fellow developers at SEED on projects that leverage your unique expertise across various domains.
- Engaging with game teams and technology groups to better understand their needs and provide expertise in overlapping areas.
- Sharing your findings through publications, open-source contributions, and conference presentations.

Qualifications:
- A degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience in PC or console game programming, with a track record of shipped AAA titles or significant contributions to major game engines.
- Advanced knowledge of real-time rendering techniques (lighting, shading, geometry) and game development.
- Strong understanding of PC and console hardware, with experience in optimizing performance across various platforms.
- Familiarity with game engines.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, engaging with researchers, engineers, artists, and designers.
- Willingness to travel for conferences and collaborate with teams across EA studios.
- A genuine passion for video games.
- Publications, presentations, or related work in rendering or a relevant field are a plus.
