Providence Health Care is currently seeking applications for a full-time Physiotherapist position at Holy Family Hospital, which accommodates 126 extended care residents and serves as a major rehabilitation referral center in British Columbia. This role is temporary, with a standard schedule from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
Physiotherapy at Providence
Our Physiotherapists are integral members of our Allied Health team, collaborating closely with Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to address the diverse treatment needs of our patient populations. Our department fosters a supportive and collaborative environment, promoting community among practitioners dedicated to exceptional patient care. This role offers remarkable opportunities for interdisciplinary learning, mentorship, and professional growth.

Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the designated Physiotherapy Site Leader, you will support the interdisciplinary program/team under the direction of the Patient/Resident Care Manager. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, organizing, and implementing patient/resident care programs to prevent or alleviate movement dysfunction.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members regarding patient responses to treatment and care goals.
- Providing education and counseling to patients, families, and team members.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with established standards.
- Participating in quality assurance activities and contributing to clinical research initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Baccalaureate degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC is required, and membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association is preferred.
Vaccination Requirement
In compliance with current Public Health Orders, all employees of Providence Health Care must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
