Position Overview

The role of the Recreation Program Coordinator involves overseeing a variety of recreational activities aimed at enhancing community engagement and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of College or CEGEP is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

This position is based in an urban setting, specifically within a recreational facility or institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage professional staff, program leaders, instructors, and volunteers.
  • Handle administrative duties related to program management.
  • Coordinate and organize special events to foster community involvement.
Supervision

Responsible for overseeing a team of more than 20 individuals.

Safety and Security
  • Completion of a criminal record check is mandatory.
  • A child welfare check is also required.
Transportation

Public transportation options are readily available for commuting.

Work Conditions
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with children is essential.
