Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Technician to join our team at 2530519 ALBERTA LTD. as a key member of our IT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading web server hardware and software, as well as implementing data, software, and hardware security procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to website visitors and designers, responding to requests for help and information in a timely and professional manner.
  • System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain web server hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Data Management: Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Web Development: Modify web pages, applets, and scripts to meet business needs.
  • Equipment Setup: Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in internet, website creation and management software, web service design, and MS Windows.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, initiative, and organized, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
