We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Ridge Sheet Metal Co. as a permanent employee.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture and assemble sheet metal products in a factory setting, including ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning, and ventilation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates.
- Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
- Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces.
- Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications.
- Cut materials using power tools or by hand.
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts.
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is physically demanding and requires standing for extended periods.
Language and Work SettingThe primary language of work is English, and the work setting involves installation, shop fabrication, and various locations.
