Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Helper to join our team at S J Finishing and Carpentry Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of construction, including loading and transporting materials, assisting in drilling and blasting rock, and cleaning and piling salvaged materials.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from work sites.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, working closely with experienced carpenters and construction professionals.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, adhering to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
Work Environment

As a Construction Helper, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often in dusty conditions. You will be required to work at various locations, including construction sites and warehouses.

Requirements
  • Physically demanding work, requiring the ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Hardworking and reliable, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
