Role Summary: The Records Management Specialist plays a crucial role in serving clients by overseeing and managing physical assets stored within our facilities. These essential team members are responsible for processing incoming and outgoing requests while efficiently handling boxed items and wheeled bins. The specialist manages destruction requests, internal relocations, permanent withdrawals, and various special projects, collaborating with colleagues to ensure overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming requests by scanning carton barcodes and tracking locations using the Safekeeper system.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to incoming or outgoing requests; manifest all orders and prepare them for shipment.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation.
  • Communicate complex order issues to the supervisor.
  • Inspect and maintain all equipment, including scanners and ladders.
  • Work collaboratively with team members.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any safety concerns.
  • Fulfill all physical requirements independently.
  • Travel between facilities as needed.
  • Provide mentorship to colleagues when opportunities arise.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness, demonstrating concern for all job aspects.
  • Ability to remain on your feet throughout the workday.
  • Capability to lift, load, and move boxes weighing an average of 40 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs, lift up to 70 pounds, and utilize tools for material handling.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One to two years of experience in a warehouse or service-oriented environment is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
  • Commitment to following and enforcing security protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
