Position Overview

We are seeking a certified Journeyman 310T Truck & Coach Mechanic to enhance our operations. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, operating from our truck shop.

This position is part of a unionized environment, and candidates should be aware of the union affiliation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on various equipment including vacuums and highway vehicles
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and hydraulic systems
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and replace defective components
  • Interpret and execute work orders
  • Participate in field service calls as required
  • Collaborate with apprentices and oversee their work
  • Attend scheduled safety meetings and toolbox discussions

Qualifications

  • Certified Journeyman 310T Heavy Equipment Technician
  • Valid Class G driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Additional licenses (AZ or DZ) and CVIP certification are advantageous
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is beneficial
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Must provide personal tools

Skills Required

  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on completing necessary documentation
  • Familiarity with Cummins and CAT engines is a plus
  • Proficient with computers and related technology
