Boeing Canada is in search of a Principal Solutions Architect to join our Data Science division, working closely with the Data Science & Analytics Manager. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, providing flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.
In this position, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of developers, analysts, and data scientists dedicated to creating AI and ML-driven solutions for the Digital Aviation sector. You will partner with leadership and development teams to formulate and execute technical strategies and roadmaps that ensure the success of various products and initiatives. A solid understanding of software development standards, cloud infrastructure, and security protocols is essential.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for AI, ML, and data analytics. Responsibilities will include overseeing the development, maintenance, and enhancement of AI and ML solutions within secure local and cloud environments. As a key technical leader within a large data science software development team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business, technology, and architectural requirements for both Commercial and Government applications.
- Articulate architectural principles and governance to guide the design and implementation of analytics-based products and services.
- Work in close partnership with Data Scientists, Business System Analysts, and Developers throughout the entire product lifecycle to evaluate technology and system impacts.
- Provide technical leadership to create innovative products and services that fulfill customer needs.
- Advocate for architecture and data/information management standards and strategies.
- Ensure that system architecture complies with relevant security, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Additional Information:
This position requires some on-site work in Richmond, BC, as determined by the hiring team.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development.
- At least 3 years of experience with Cloud architecture.
- Eligibility for authorization under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian Secret Clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Eligibility to handle US export-controlled data.
- No risk to the safeguarding of controlled goods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting AI or ML development teams.
- Familiarity with MLOps orchestration and infrastructure for analytics solution lifecycle.
- Background in big data ecosystems and integrating data analytics workflows into production software.
- Proficiency with Azure Cloud and/or AWS Cloud.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with development, deployment, and version control tools (e.g., Git, Jira).
- Proven ability to align technical direction with business strategy.
- Understanding of service mesh architecture and related technologies.
Typical Education and Experience:
Typically requires advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and 14 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Candidates must reside in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Summary Pay Range: CAD 110,000 – CAD 195,000
