Health and Safety Field Operations Coordinator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a committed professional to join our organization as a Health and Safety Field Operations Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing health and safety initiatives, policies, and protocols across various locations within the designated area. Exceptional leadership and communication skills are vital for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a robust HSE management framework.
  • Perform inspections and evaluations to detect potential hazards.
  • Foster a culture of safety and deliver training programs for staff.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and enforce corrective measures.
  • Oversee WCB claims and track work programs.
  • Advise on risk assessments and safety plans for projects.
  • Compile and present reports on health and safety metrics.
  • Facilitate training sessions on various safety topics.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completion of high school and a diploma in a relevant training program.
  • Certification in Health and Safety or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety, with at least 3 years in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of scaffolding and insulation trades is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Hold certifications in CSTS, H2S Alive, and Standard First Aid.
  • Strong understanding of OH&S regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with strong leadership capabilities.
  • Proactive approach and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated region.
