Become a part of our team as a Community Engagement Specialist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)
Vancouver Coastal Health is in search of an individual who has successfully completed a Health Care Worker program to join the Complex Care Housing Team in Sechelt. Contribute to a vibrant team dedicated to providing essential support services to individuals facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver support services to individuals dealing with mental health and substance use challenges.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary care teams to provide integrated health solutions.
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and services.
- Act as an advocate for clients while supporting the Integrated Care Team.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Completion of a Health Care Worker program along with two years of pertinent experience.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Familiarity with mental health issues, substance use, and available community resources.
- Experience in Trauma-Informed Care and culturally competent practices.
