Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at S. K Transportation Inc.. This role involves maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Technical Duties: Conduct thorough inspections and troubleshooting of equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and other testing equipment to assess the extent of repairs needed.
  • Make necessary adjustments and repair or replace defective components.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Test repaired vehicles to verify performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating machinery.
  • Carry out repair work on heavy trucks and service attachments and working tools.
  • Ensure proper functioning of emission control systems through verification and repair.
Work Environment

This position is physically demanding and requires:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
Experience Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in diesel mechanics.
  • A commitment to a permanent position.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • A standard work schedule of 40 hours per week.
